Privacy
At SpamStrike, we realize the importance of privacy, security, and accuracy as it relates to your SMS messages. Here’s how we ensure that your messages remain private and secure:
SMS Content Privacy:
We only store SMS content sent from numbers outside of your contacts, and only do so on an aggregate basis, meaning we do not know which messages are associated with your account.
Spamstrike processes messages from unknown senders to determine whether they are spam and shares such information with Apple to associate the message with a given user and place it in the appropriate message folder. Spamstrike does not store identifying information about you or your iPhone alongside the spam content, which is used purely for aggregated reporting purposes (like the dashboard you see in the app).
Protection of Your Personal Information:
Personal Identifiable Information Collected: We store your name, phone number, email address, contact lists, or device identifiers, but this information is not stored in connection to your message content. Therefore, your identity as it relates to your spam messages remains completely confidential.
Local Processing and Automated Spam Filtering:
On-Device Processing: Initial spam filtering occurs locally on your device using Apple's SMS filtering APIs. This means your device analyzes incoming messages to determine if they are spam without sending the content to our servers during this process.
Automated Systems: The decision to classify a message as spam is made entirely by automated systems without any human involvement. If a message is identified as spam, it is moved to your spam folder; otherwise, it stays in your main inbox.
Data Security and Retention
Security Measures: We implement industry-standard security protocols to protect all data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Your anonymized data is stored securely.
Data Retention Policy: Anonymized data is retained only as long as necessary to improve our spam detection algorithms. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete the data.
Compliance with Laws and Regulations
Privacy Laws: We comply with all applicable privacy laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
User Rights:
Even though we cannot identify you from the anonymized data, we are committed to addressing any concerns you may have about your data. You may contact us at any time with questions: hello@spamstrike.com.
Message routing:
While we cannot guarantee that all messages will be correctly marked as spam and removed from your inbox, we will not touch any messages from senders in your contacts. Similarly, it is possible that SpamStike will not route messages that are spam to a spam folder in your messages app.
Your trust is important to us, and we go the extra mile to ensure your information remains secure and minimize the number of missed spam SMS messages.

We do not sell your data to or share it with any third parties. We do not continue to store any of this data if you decide to delete your profile on request. If you want to delete your profile or data, please email hello@spamstrike.com
Personal Data Deletion
You can delete all data associated with your account in one of two ways:
